In the first ever Test match in 1877, Charles Bannerman faced the first ball of Test cricket and scored the first run. He ended up scoring 165, which was the first century in Test cricket. In all the Test matches that have been played between 1877 and now, no Australian has ever beaten his score of 165 on Test debut.
