I've had a very enjoyable trip to Victoria to take in some of the action from the Australian Open. As always, the standard of the tennis has been first-class, and the atmosphere courtside has been something special. In particular, I was impressed by a couple of marathon 5-setters I was at involving Sweden's Thomas Johansson and also another Swede Joachim Johansson getting up against Spain's Feliciano Lopez 13-11 in the 5th. Anyway, here's some pics I took at the Open: Thomas Johansson warms up: Thomas prepares to receive (Essendon's Adam McPhee is in the background): Panoramic shot of Rod Laver arena: Game set and match Agassi: The Swedish fans: Thomas Johansson repairs his racket: Double-handed backhand: The fans celebrate Thomas' win: Joachim serves another thunderbolt: A change of ends for Joachim, in what would be a marathon match: A very enjoyable visit and great fun.

Andy has a quarter-final tomorrow he should win fairly comfortably against Nicholay Davidenko. But it gets tougher after that, his likely semi-final opponent is Lleyton Hewitt - and that match should be an absolute classic.
